Hi there! My name is Carrie, and I am the author of Hometown Happy Teacher. I have been teaching for 21 years. Reading is specialty, as well as classroom read alouds. Second grade is where my heart is but, I have taught up to third and fourth grade. I love teaching and I am so excited to provide educational resources to make your job easier.

All about me, Hometown Happy Teacher! I began teaching 24 years ago after graduating from Southern Illinois University with a degree in Elementary Education and a minor in art and later acquired my master's degree from McKendree University. I am married and have three children: Jacob, Jolie, and Jagger. Teaching is my happy place. I love my job and the people I get to work with each day.
